Having dry skin and then not being able to match my shade, really inspired me to go on the hunt for one. I didn’t want to keep playing the guessing game and making big purchases to then have it sit in my makeup drawer and be forgotten about. And I can
almost NEVER find my drugstore concealer that I’m happy with. It’s either too liquid-y or of course, not my shade. So, these options will be an investment and a good one. You need them.
Apparently, you are having trouble too (or your a makeup artist looking for options) and that’s why you are here. And just to let you know, all of these are ones that I own and love.
Here’s my Top 3 concealers for Dry and Dark Skin:
This was the very first concealer I tried on this ‘find a concealer that works’ mission and it works perfectly. It’s also the cheapest out of the three. It doesn’t disappoint at all. The only thing is it may be hard to get your EXACT color but if you use your foundation over the concealer you should be fine. I use NC50.
This product is best used (in my opinion) in the Winter. Most of the ones that I bought are very firm and need to be warmed up before applying. All you have to do is spray this on the concealer or swirl your ring finger in it before applying it to your face. The bonus is the fact that it has a powder to set with the concealer to eliminate the uncertainty of what color powder to use. Remember: You are purchasing 2 products for the price it’s worth! Try Golden/Pale Yellow, Almond/Soft Honey, or Chestnut/Soft Honey.
My all time favorite concealer! I use this product under my eyes, around my mouth, and dark spots on my face from mild acne. Plus, my eyes run constantly from allergies and it does not budge. Seriously, all I do is pay and dry. For the price, it’s a great investment because you don’t need much and it lasts. Try Fawn 14, Chocolate 18 (my color), or Ebony 20.
I hope this helped some of you. Let me know if you are thinking about purchasing them. Also, tell me what concealer you use now!
