I Miss Boston.

Lately, I have been waking up thinking I’m in Boston. Feeling the urge to get dressed and walk down Newbury or Bolyston just to relax. As I sit here, I’m looking at old pictures to make sure I don’t forget what it looks like and the wonderful people I’ve met. I noticed that I hadn’t posted pictures of my last days there. So, here’s something a little different.

These last couple of pictures were taken from my sorority sister’s engagement dinner and my ‘Going Away’ dinner. We had so much fun salsa dancing and reminiscing over old times. Moving across country was actually pretty hard, but everyone I met made me feel at home.

I’ll be visiting soon and don’t forget me!

Irony

Now that I’ve moved back to the South, I’ve been suffering severely of seasonal allergies. Sneezing, coughing, nasal congestion is my everyday battle. When I was younger, my allergies were even worse. Constant pills, shots and preventive methods were apart of my daily life. Today I decided to see the doctor and instantly regretted it due to MORE shots, etc. The irony of it is, although I’m allergic to grass, pollen, certain trees — I LOVE flowers and being outdoors! This is definitely going to be a tough summer.

Florals has to be my favorite trend this season — hence my love for flowers! These are the times that I miss Boston. Clear air and less pollen!

Change

Change has always been something I was very comfortable with. I loved change! I loved new experiences, new people, a new focus, a new adventure.
Now that it’s final that I’ll be moving from the New England area (the crazy roller coaster), this change is a little….. sad.
Although I’ve complained a lot about the cold winters, the not-so-friendly people (which is NOT true), the horrible drivers (which is VERY true), I’ve come to realize that Boston was the very thing I needed in my life to overcome fears and accomplish goals that I’ve always wanted to do.
For the past month or so, I’ve been preparing this move and preparing myself for what life has in store for me. In this, I’ve noticed that I’ve neglected some of you (blog, twitter, texts, events, etc.) and I want to apologize. This has been heavy on my heart and expressing it here is appropriate to me.
OKAY.. enough of the deep stuff! Thanks to a couple of people, I’ve already depleted gallons of tears from saying goodbye and I don’t want to start again! :’-)
Thank you Boston for being so good to me! I love you!

Procrastinista

You still haven’t done your Christmas shopping? It’s okay.. I’ll give you a few ideas!
Last week, I was invited to the Bloggers Night Out Boston Holiday Party which was sponsored by Stylebook and Bloomingdale’s as the host. Such a wonderful event to network and browse the latest pieces from Tory Burch, DKNY, Nanette Lepore, and more!
Since WE (yes we!) are not done shopping for Christmas yet, I took a couple of photos of some very stylish pieces that your mom, sister, or friend would love.

Fall Back

Hello Dolls! Had such a gloomy week last week.
Since the weather is cooler and daylight is shorter it’s gonna be so hard to shoot outside! ๐Ÿ™ Winter, as you know, is not my favorite but we will work something out.

Was finally able to me the lovely Emily Muller. Hated that I missed her Boston Fashion Week runway show, but heard so many lovely things about her. She’s such a sweet spirit.

Boston or Bust: Betsey Johnson Fashion Show

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month! People all over the country host events dedicated to spread information about breast cancer as well as receive donations to find a cure for it.

Having breast cancer 11 years ago, Betsey Johnson brought her talents to Boston to help support the women at South End Community Health Center to make sure every woman has access to information about breast cancer. Betsey even stated that she did a self examination and found a lump. After fighting her battle, she felt compelled to spread the word.

To make the night even better, Betsey Johnson teamed up with Brian Kelly of Kelly Fiat to raffle a bright pink Fiat with Betsey Johnson’s signature stamped on the front. If you want to be the lucky winner click here to purchase a raffle ticket! The winner will be announced October 31, 2011.

It’s important to make sure that we don’t forget about ourselves ladies! Remember to encourage your mother, aunt, grandmother and friends to self examine themselves and also to speak to their doctors!

Hope all of you are having a wonderful night! Enjoy the pictures!

Quality Time

Hey loves! We were so grateful for the BEAUTIFUL weather for the whole weekend. The in-laws were in town with our niece Katelyn. Katelyn ABSOLUTELY had a great time with Tucker. Running, jumping and playing around the house. He never left her side! Since my in-laws are both retired school teachers, my husband and I decided to allow them relax and enjoy our company since we hadn’t seen them since our wedding (so shame!). We did finally decide to go show them the Boston and the best way to do it… Boston Duck Tour! Check out the photos!

Dinner For Two

Hello Lovelies! Since one of my sorority sister’s couldn’t come to this event, she called me and asked if I wanted to go out to dinner with her. She’s such a sweetie! We picked a great time to try a new restaurant too. It’s Boston Restaurant Week! Every participating restaurant has a three course dinner menu for only $33.11. We tried Anthony’s Pier 4 which resided along the beautiful Atlantic waters on the coast of Boston. It was beautiful! I couldn’t take any pictures cause my camera is TERRIBLE, but I’ll nag about that in another post. I wore this dress because the weather was absolutely lovely that night. I’m really not looking forward to winter. Since I’m a Southern Belle and all. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Any who, have a good night guys!
